Blue Class - World Book Day 2026

Blue class had a wonderful day celebrating world book day. We thoroughly enjoyed a day of activities based around the amazing story of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl.

We began the day with a word hunt in a word search, followed by an exciting whole school assembly in which 3 of our class won prizes for the half term pick and mix homework to create a shoe box of a scene from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. 

On returning to class, we visited all of the classes with our golden tickets. The whole school looked amazing as all the classrooms had been decorated.

In class, we enjoyed completing a comprehension activity, planning a new room for the factory before writing a detailed setting description as well as taking part in a live lesson talking about the joys of reading.  We even got to share our favourite books with one another.

Throughout the day, we loved making gluten free chocolate cornflake cakes with melted chocolate. At the end of the day, we took them home to eat, scrumptious.
